FAQ

Answers to our most frequently asked questions.

F.A.Q

Q: What products do you use?

A: We use environmentally safe, non-toxic cleaners. Additionally, we use a pigmented epoxy sealant on most grout.

Q: How do I prepare for my project to be completed?

A: We ask that any surface that is being worked on be cleared of any and all personal items. If we are working inside a shower do not use the shower the morning of your scheduled work. Any easily moved items (chairs, tables, ect...) be moved out of the work area.

Q: Are you insured?

A: Yes! For proof of insurance or other questions regarding our insurance policy, please contact one of our representatives.

Q: When am I able to access the areas again?

A: For Kitchens and other areas able to be walked on, 4 - 6 hours are required for cure time. For Showers and other areas subject to heavy water exposure, a full 48 hours are required for cure time. If additional time is required your service technician will let you know at project completion.

Q: How often should I seal my grout?

A: Industry standard recommends a yearly resealing of grout lines. However, with our epoxy we recommend every 5 years. Well maintained epoxy sealed grout can last as long as 25 or more years!

Q: Can I steam or pressure clean my grout?

A: Steam and pressure cleanings can severely damage grout. Repeated steam cleanings can cause grout to become loose and crumble. High pressure machines can do the same but more quickly and can also damage the tiles themselves. These are not recommended for residential use!

Q: Why does my grout keep cracking and crumbling?

A: There are many reasons that can cause grout to crack or crumble. A few things that can cause this are; Loose tiles, improper mixture when grout was mixed, improper underlayment installation,  movement in the subfloor, movement at a change of plane.
